  • Biography

Linda Kirk is the Sub-Dean of the Migration Law Program at the ANU College of Law at The Australian National University. She was a Senior Member of the Migration Review Tribunal and the Refugee Review Tribunal from 2009-2014. From 2002-2008 she was a Senator for South Australia and the Deputy Chair of the Joint Standing Committee on Migration. She is the Chair of the Australasian Chapter of the International Association of Refugee Law Judges and a Visiting Fellow of the Refugee Law Initiative, School of Advanced Study, University of London. Linda is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Juridical Science degree at Monash University and is writing her dissertation on consistency in refugee status determination.
